An eggy bargin

Okay, around 6.30 this morning I was woken from sleep by this awful racket coming from the roof of my bedroom bay window.

On investigation I found at least 4 bleep, bleep, magpies had decided to have a clog dance before breakfast haha.

So I was wondering what a collection of this rather attractive, if not noisy bird was called, and here are some of the different things you can call them, Mind you the 6th one down was more appropriate this morning.

  • A congregation of magpies

  • A flock of magpies

  • A gulp of magpies

  • A mischief of magpies

  • A band of magpies

  • A murder of magpies

  • A tiding of magpies

  • A charm of magpies

  • A tittering of magpies

  • A tribe of magpies

Mind you I did find out that the Australian Magpie does not only look different to ours but it is quiet a bit more agressive.

This morning the mother unit and I headed out to B&M, I knew that I would be in for the marathon but hey-ho I still took her.

It was a good job that they don't charge for parking like they do at Aldi, as we were in the store for well over 2 hours. On my way to the checkout mother went missing, as I rounded the end of the aisle I spied her sitting in one of these egg chairs and couldn't get out again haha. They had been £35 which in itself is not a bad price, but had been reduced to £25 so I decided that the she shed would benefit from this stylish chair.

As it was the last one in brown, the others they had were black and grey, I was pleasantly surprised when I got it to the check out to find that it was only £20 so a bargain. It looks really good in the space.

After Aldi I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone, not magpies this time haha, as Sarah, Lee and the boys had gone to York for the day, she had asked me to look in on Dave the lab. As I was passing the end of her street I made a quick detour with the mother unit.

We spent about 20 minutes in the garden enough time for him to do his business before we left and continued our journey to mothers house. I have to say I wanted to do all sorts this afternoon but by the time I eventually got home it was 2.45 and I couldn't be bothered to start anything so I read my emails and played my favourite PC games. Now it is after 7 and I am waiting for my Lasagne to cook.
