Cupboard construction in the new craft room this morning. My joiner Keith of course couldn't start anything until he had a cup of builders tea haha. The skimmed walls Alan completed last night are drying out well and are almost dry enough to decorate, so I guess that's Friday night for me sorted. By close tonight there will be skirting boards on, all ready for Ben to lay my cheap and cheerful carpet tiles in the new craft room. Then it will be all systems go to move the Jungalow around and get my life back on track.
Last week I purchased a skeleton clock for the new kitchen it is quite big 40cm diameter and looks okay, however, I have decided that it is too small so last night I purchased a large canvas for the wall (60cm by 60cm) and will add a few floating shelves. I think that the space will look so much better. So watch out for the big reveal.
It is only 7 days until the new flooring goes down I can't wait, especially as I took the decision to carry the flooring on into the hall. So all the furniture moving from the old craft room to the new craft room will have to be completed before next Friday so that the new floor doesn't get damaged.
Just a few pictures of progress today.
The joiner took several original wall cupboards which were not used and after building a bespoke cupboard from a spare base unit around the gas meter he fitted the cupboards to the wall. I am really pleased with the result. Also, the last thing I did tonight was paper the back wall of the new craft room.
