Been a busy bee today in the Jungalow although my industrious activities have not been without damage haha.
I decided that I would move the oak bookcase out of the conservatory as it was beginning to fade. It was only when I started taking the books off the shelves did I realise just how much damage the sun had been reeking as all my books spines are nearly white.
So where have I relocated the bookcase you may ask? Well, it has gone into the dining room, it matches all the other furniture already in there so fits in quite well. Of course, apart from lugging all the books through from the conservatory to the dining room, there was the slight issue of moving the bookcase itself. No mean task as it is no lightweight. I decided that I would tip it on its side and push it using the carpet to smooth things along. When I was tipping it I accidentally hit the chandelier causing it to come loose from the ceiling and several pieces of it to fall to the ground. I now have to duck down to avoid hitting said chandelier. A quick call to Ben and hopefully he will be able to mend it soon.
As you can see the before and after conservatory pictures show the better use of the space.
It never ceases to amuse me by the choice of packaging which comes from Amazon. Today I received a large box from them and wondered what the hell I had ordered. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box. A small tin of Hammerite paint for my wrought iron garden furniture makeover haha.
Lastly tonight I am in search of a roofer. My builder has tried on many occasions to solve the problem of my leaky kitchen bay window. Over the last week, the rain has found ways in and this is what I found this morning after last nights efforts.
So if anyone can recommend a roofer please let me know.
