This was defo me this morning. I had had a restless night, tossing and turning before finally getting off to sleep.
When I woke I had all the telltale signs of a head cold. But as the Covid Pandemic has done away with the common cold, haha, and everyone immediately thinks they have covid, I found myself going through the covid symptoms before deciding that indeed I had a friendly little head cold. Unlike the grouchy wails coming from the children next door accompanied by continuous coughing.
So no headache, no loss of taste or smell, no cough, no temperature just a bit of a mussy feeling in my nose and a bit of a sore throat, which soon abated when I had had a couple of drinks.
I was hosting lunch today at the Jungaow and I was not looking forward to the prep which would be required. I soldiered on (how gracious of me) and I soon had everything prepared. I sat down and read for a while until my guests arrived. However, I wasn't in the mood to eat so I really didn't do my lunch proud.
Last night I got a request from Harry via Sarah to ask if he could come around to the Jungalow and spend the evening with me.
The whole family were at a holy communion celebration for Lees sisters daughter.
Harry had not wanted to stay and was not allowed to go home on his own so he plumped for an evening with his dear old nana.
I didn't mind it was nice to have someone to keep me company. Anyway, he was telling me of a competition which was been run at school to draw a portrait of the queen. These would be displayed in one of the estate agents' windows in the town centre. There would be a £50 prize up for grabs.
Harry had the idea that he would like to draw the young queen as many would-be drawing the queen as she is now.
He spent a good three hours last night getting it just right, I for one think he has achieved a great result. I only helped him a little with the placing of the union Jack behind her.
Finally today, a quick update on the Petunias which I planted yesterday. After giving them a good soaking last night I was rewarded this morning with pert plants looking healthier than they had done yesterday.
