A right royal affair

Well, the jubilee celebrations got under way yesterday in great style.

I headed off down to Sarah's and the mother unit, accompanied by my niece Leane went into town to see what was going on on the market square. Later she was delivered to Sarah's to join our party.

I have to say we were super lucky with the weather and I actually got a bit of colour on my shoulders haha. It was a brilliant party I have to say. It started at 1 o'clock in the afternoon and I headed off home at 2.30 this morning haha.

My corned beef pie and grans sausage pies went down a treat. Wasn't to keen on the BBQ but that is no fault of the chef, I am not really a fan of them actually. Well, the drink flowed and many glasses were raised to her Majesty. My fire pit which was a gift from my lovely girl friends was put to great use as the afternoon turned into evening. As you can see from the pictures Sarah had done a great job decorating her garden. We even had a few royal guests haha, however, I don't know how I got saddled with the Camilla mask.

So this morning, feeling a little jaded, I set to work producing the cupcakes I promised. 72 cupcakes later I am done, now all I have to do is decorate them, but that is a job for tonight. Tomorrow is our street party so I am afraid you will be getting some more photos of Jubilee celebrations.

I hope that your celebrations for the Queens Platinum Jubilee have gone with great success.
