It occurred to me that I hadn't sent out a blog last week. So here we are Tuesday night, and I am attempting to put that right. It was super busy last week with one thing after another, and I convinced myself that the blog had indeed gone out, haha.
On my birthday in April, I received a magnificent gift from a group of my close friends that has continued to give throughout the year.

Sue and I had heard of a garden centre in Northallerton that was renowned for its Christmas display, so off we went but wondered why the sat nav was taking us to Appleton Whisk. Well, it turned out that the garden centre in question, Whitegates, was nowhere near Northallerton, in fact, 10 miles away, haha, but nevertheless, it was a brilliant Christmas treat.
It's that time of year again when Dave and his mam and dad get a Christmas wreath to cheer them up.

Last Sunday it was manic. I had thought it was a great idea to have two major events virtually back to back.
Event number one was Christmas dinner number one, because Sue and Jeff are heading to Thailand for Christmas she hosted a Christmas lunch with present giving etc for Martin, Jo and the kids, and of course, there was no show without Punch, so I was invited along also. Christmas Dinner take two is this coming Sunday, before I have Christmas Dinner for real on the 25th phew......
Event Number Two was held at the Jungalow at 7 oclock the same night, haha. Members of the u3a committee came along for a bit of a social. We had great food and chat and even got around to playing a few games.
Now if I thought last week was busy this week, which we are fast hurtling through, is just as busy. So plenty to write about again come the weekend. Have a great rest of the week.
